Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the future St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families can thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

Please join me on our journey as we begin building St Joseph’s from the ground up in 2022, so that it is ready to welcome our first Kindergarten students in 2023. We will be sharing our story on our new Facebook and Instagram pages – search @stjrosebery to find us.

Our future focused learning hubs will provide spaces for children to collaborate, learn, build relationships and thrive. Presentation spaces, maker spaces, collaboration spaces and work spaces will enable children to learn and relate in a variety of ways that will equip them with both the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in school and life.

St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

Today at Mass, the fourth Sunday of Advent, the fourth candle on the Advent wreath is lit, representing Love - the ultimate love of God that He might send His only Son for us. This candle leads us to eagerly await the new Kingdom of God on earth.

In a magical corner of Santa’s workshop, Kindergarten and Year 1 students have been using their problem solving skills to program their robot Bee-Bots to collect toys for Santa’s sleigh in time for Christmas!

At Mass this morning we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent and light the pink candle on the Advent wreath, symbolising joy. Today, we rejoice in the nearness of Christ’s coming and the hope He brings to our hearts.
