Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the future St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families can thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

Please join me on our journey as we begin building St Joseph’s from the ground up in 2022, so that it is ready to welcome our first Kindergarten students in 2023. We will be sharing our story on our new Facebook and Instagram pages – search @stjrosebery to find us.

Our future focused learning hubs will provide spaces for children to collaborate, learn, build relationships and thrive. Presentation spaces, maker spaces, collaboration spaces and work spaces will enable children to learn and relate in a variety of ways that will equip them with both the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in school and life.

St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

Proudly Part of the Community of Sydney Catholic Schools

Our school is part of a system of 147 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese.

Sydney Catholic Schools are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.

St Joseph was a parent of courage and faith, who with Mary loved and cared for God’s only Son. Creative and daring when presented with a challenge, he worked hard and lived humbly. His example inspires us to live the Gospel and grow closer to God in faith and love.

    🧪🧬 STEM MAD Nationals 🧬 🧪

Today, some students from Holy Family attended the STEM MAD National Showcase in Brisbane, competing against teams from across Australia.

Only six teams across Sydney Catholic Schools made it to this level of the competition and Holy Family had three teams represented.

These students had the opportunity to present their prototype and explain how it makes a difference (MAD) in our world.

We are so proud of Jamie, Jaiden, Coen, Alek, Kyan and Lachlan. They represented our school with excellence and pride. Special mention to Alek who was a runner up for the Future is STEM award!

Thank you to the parents who came along and supported this amazing event.

Today students from Year 6 represented our school at the NSW Basketball Primary Competition at Sutherland.

Both of our teams won all of their group games earning them a place in the grand final.

Our boys team came up against a tough opponent and unfortunately lost in a very close game 20 to 18.

Our girls team won their grand final 29 to 4. The team will now be invited to attend the state Championships that will take place in a few weeks in Penrith.

Congratulations to all the students for their excellent display of sportsmanship and the positive way in which they represented our school.

Good luck to our girl team for the next competition.

    🌺 REMEMBRANCE DAY 🌺

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month each year we remember the moment in 1918 when World War I came to an end. Remembrance Day marks the signing of the peace agreement between Germany and the Allies that ended the Great War of 1914-1918.

One thing we can do for the people who fought for our country is to continue the tradition of remembering them.

"Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." - John 15:12
