Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Principal's MessageWelcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to offer a contemporary educational environment designed to support the learning growth and wellbeing of every child. Since opening our doors in 2023, we’ve welcomed our students into dynamic learning hubs where student learning, collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships flourish.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed with learning in mind— whole class areas, presentation areas, maker spaces, collaboration hubs, and quiet work zones all equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for success both in school and beyond.

Before and after school care is available in our school hall. St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

We are currently welcoming enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 2 in 2025, expanding to Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2026.

Proudly Part of the Community of Sydney Catholic Schools

Our school is part of a system of 147 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese.

Sydney Catholic Schools are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.

St Joseph was a parent of courage and faith, who with Mary loved and cared for God’s only Son. Creative and daring when presented with a challenge, he worked hard and lived humbly. His example inspires us to live the Gospel and grow closer to God in faith and love.

What a delicious morning at Tender Tales! This morning, our amazing children enjoyed the book “I Will Never, Ever Eat a Tomato”, sang, offered heartfelt prayers and channeled their inner chefs to make a super cheesy pizza. The air was filled with learning, laughter and the irresistible aroma of baking pizza..Yum! #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #parishofsydneycitysouth

Thank you to all the families who generously donated to St Vincent de Paul. Your incredible support enabled us to attend the daytime service today and provide food and warm drinks to over 40 vulnerable members of our community. Your contributions make a real difference in the lives who need it most. #SydneyCatholicSchools #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth #StVincentDePaul

Today we gathered on Sorry Day to pray for reconciliation and healing for the Stolen Generation and all of those still affected. Tomorrow we start National Reconciliation Week, a week where all Australians can learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements. Local elder, Uncle Les, spoke to us about Lieutenant William Dawes, and the notebooks he kept where he recorded the Aboriginal language of Sydney.

Loving God, today we remember the sadness that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families have felt. We say sorry for the hurt that was caused. Help us to build a bridge from the past to a future full of hope and love. May we listen, care, and walk together in peace. Amen. #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #nationalsorryday #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth
