Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Principal's MessageWelcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to offer a contemporary educational environment designed to support the learning growth and wellbeing of every child. Since opening our doors in 2023, we’ve welcomed our students into dynamic learning hubs where student learning, collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships flourish.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed with learning in mind— whole class areas, presentation areas, maker spaces, collaboration hubs, and quiet work zones all equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for success both in school and beyond.

Before and after school care is available in our school hall. St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

We are currently welcoming enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 2 in 2025, expanding to Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2026.

Proudly Part of the Community of Sydney Catholic Schools

Our school is part of a system of 147 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese.

Sydney Catholic SchoolsĀ are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.

St Joseph was a parent of courage and faith, who with Mary loved and cared for God’s only Son. Creative and daring when presented with a challenge, he worked hard and lived humbly. His example inspires us to live the Gospel and grow closer to God in faith and love.

Our SPBL value this term is ā€œWe are learners when we try hard thingsā€.
We have been speaking to the students about how they will find challenges in learning, but these productive struggles are vital for them to develop independence and a mindset of continual growth.

This week at assembly we celebrated NAIDOC week by performing ā€œTaba Nabaā€ - a traditional song from the Torres Strait Islands, sung in the language of Meriam Mir.
NAIDOC week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth #NAIDOCWeek

NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, highlights the vital role we play in carrying forward the stories and spirit of those who came before. Our students continually engage with First Nations cultures through storytelling, art, music and leadership opportunities that deepen understanding and respect. Together we can help build a stronger, more united future for all Australians. 🫶More here: https://ow.ly/I2rG50Wgv7C
