Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Principal's MessageWelcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to offer a contemporary educational environment designed to support the learning growth and wellbeing of every child. Since opening our doors in 2023, we’ve welcomed our students into dynamic learning hubs where student learning, collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships flourish.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed with learning in mind— whole class areas, presentation areas, maker spaces, collaboration hubs, and quiet work zones all equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for success both in school and beyond.

Before and after school care is available in our school hall. St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

We are currently welcoming enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 2 in 2025, expanding to Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2026.

Proudly Part of the Community of Sydney Catholic Schools

Our school is part of a system of 147 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese.

Sydney Catholic Schools are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.

St Joseph was a parent of courage and faith, who with Mary loved and cared for God’s only Son. Creative and daring when presented with a challenge, he worked hard and lived humbly. His example inspires us to live the Gospel and grow closer to God in faith and love.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, mother figures, and carers who give so much love every single day.

Today we also hold close the mothers no longer with us — forever loved, forever missed, and always remembered. 🤍

The 2026 Sydney Catholic Schools Portrait prize asked students to capture the likeness of someone meaningful to them and showcased over 700 student artworks.
From this, 93 artworks were selected for exhibition with 7 of our amazing St Joseph’s Rosebery students rewarded for their exceptional artistic talent.

Congratulations to Jude Z, Harry G, Vanja S, Lottie W, Rohan K, Sienna H and Hana C on their selection.

A very special thank you to Mrs Williams for the support and guidance she provided to all of our students in creating these beautiful portraits.

Across Sydney Catholic Schools, young artists are telling powerful stories through portraiture. The 2026 SCS Portrait Prize attracted 725 student submissions, with 60 artworks from 40 schools selected for exhibition.

Each portrait captures not just a face, but the connection and story behind someone important in the artist’s life. Now in its fifth year, the Portrait Prize continues to nurture creativity and artistic growth among students from Kindergarten to Year 12, encouraging them to develop both their technical skills and emotional insight.

Congratulations to our award winners and to every student who participated. Read more and explore the full gallery here: https://ow.ly/lW2N50YQSOH

God of love and peace, today we pray for those who gave so much for their
country. May we always remember their gifts of freedom and peace.
We recall the sacrifices of those who died serving our country in the armed forces. Anzacs, we will remember you.
    Lest we forget.

This afternoon we participated in the Mascot & Botany RSL Sub‑Branches ANZAC March and Service. Well supported by the local community, politicians, and schools, and our students, families and staff, we marched along Botany Rd and laid a wreath at the War Memorial in Mascot Memorial Park. Participating in this event helps our students connect with our national history and appreciate the values that shape our country. Lest we forget.
