Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Principal's MessageWelcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to offer a contemporary educational environment designed to support the learning growth and wellbeing of every child. Since opening our doors in 2023, we’ve welcomed our students into dynamic learning hubs where student learning, collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships flourish.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed with learning in mind— whole class areas, presentation areas, maker spaces, collaboration hubs, and quiet work zones all equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for success both in school and beyond.

Before and after school care is available in our school hall. St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

We are currently welcoming enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 2 in 2025, expanding to Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2026.

Proudly Part of the Community of Sydney Catholic Schools

Our school is part of a system of 147 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese.

Sydney Catholic Schools are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.

St Joseph was a parent of courage and faith, who with Mary loved and cared for God’s only Son. Creative and daring when presented with a challenge, he worked hard and lived humbly. His example inspires us to live the Gospel and grow closer to God in faith and love.

Yesterday our students went on a whole school excursion to Butterscotch Park for their latest PBL reward!
We had a great time playing in the park, exploring the fairy garden and joining in games of soccer and oz tag!

What a honking good time at Tender Tales this morning🪿 We read Lucy Goosey, sang our favourite songs, said our prayers, and made adorable little geese to take home. Our little flock had lots of fun learning, creating, and waddling through the morning together. Thank you to our little goslings for joining us 💜 💛 #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth

Today, we enjoyed a beautiful parent pilgrimage to the Sistine Chapel Revelations Exhibition, followed by Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral and the opportunity to venerate the relics of St Anthony of Padua. It was a wonderful morning of faith, reflection and community. Thank you to all who joined us on this special journey. ✨🙏 #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth

This week our Year 2 science task was to design and develop an object that used a push and/or a pull action.

Students worked in small groups to design and build their own arcade‑style game that reflected a force (push, pull, or both) to play the game.

Well done everyone they look fantastic!

We had a hee-haw of a time at Tender Tales this morning! 🫏 We read The Donkey in the Mill and learned about a kind and humble little donkey. Then we kicked up our hooves playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey, sang songs, prayed together, and made our own adorable donkeys to take home. Thank you for joining us this morning 💜 💛 #SydneyCatholicSchools #creatingfutures #stjrosebery #parishofsydneycitysouth
