Principal's MessageWelcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Rosebery, where children and families thrive in a vibrant educational and faith community.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to offer a contemporary educational environment designed to support the learning growth and wellbeing of every child. Since opening our doors in 2023, we’ve welcomed our students into dynamic learning hubs where student learning, collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships flourish.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed with learning in mind— whole class areas, presentation areas, maker spaces, collaboration hubs, and quiet work zones all equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for success both in school and beyond.

Before and after school care is available in our school hall. St Joseph’s Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is located on site to cater for the high demand for childcare locally. St Joseph’s Rosebery Church is also on-site, ensuring education and care in a faith-based environment will be available from Preschool to Year 6.

We are currently welcoming enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 2 in 2025, expanding to Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2026.

    Yesterday our Year 3 students will took part in an exciting Ranger Jamie PDHPE incursion where they work together to design, build, and even ride a real student-made hovercraft.
    Throughout the session, students built important skills in teamwork, self-management, and wellbeing.

    Yesterday morning in our Parish 16 children received the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time. The children have been supported by their families, Fr Paul, the parish, its catechists, Sr Rosemary and Deacon Peter, and the teachers in their Catholic primary schools on their faith journey.     As part of our Science unit on Pushes and Pulls, Year 1 and Year 2 students consolidated their understanding of Forces at their Excursion today at Sydney Park, Alexandria. Students had lots of fun engaging in a variety of Science experiments and participating in activities, which included making air pressure rockets, billy cart races, tug-of-war challenges and slime-making investigations.

    It was wonderful to see students working collaboratively, thinking scientifically and having lots of fun!
